WHAT'S THE REASON WHY "EATING LESS AND RESTRICTING MORE" DOESN'T WORK FOR BUSY MEN TO LOSE FAT AND GET LEAN?
A few years back, I burnt out hard trying to get lean.
I prescribed to the mainstream dogma of:
1. following a low-calorie, restrictive diet
2. restricting even further once my fat loss stalled
Seemed simple enough.
And logically, it makes sense (you need to restrict to create a calorie deficit, right?).
But there’s a fatal flaw to this approach...
Busy men who don't have a Flexible Metabolism restrict and restrict and restrict until they burn out and binge.
1. You cut out all your favorite foods and use extreme diets...
2. You bring your Tupperware of chicken and broccoli everywhere you go...
3. And you sacrifice experiences with loved ones and friends because you can't eat the same foods as them.
It’s a shitty way to get lean and feels like you’re stuck on the diet hamster wheel from hell.
It makes you wonder if achieving the physique that matches how you want to feel as a man is even worth it at all.
It's no wonder that I (and the hundreds of busy men I've coached over the years) burnt out trying to eat less and restrict more.
But don’t worry.
There’s a better way.
I call it The Eat More to Lose More Blueprint.
But before we go any further, you need to understand that:
1. Your "ability" to lose weight and burn fat is controlled by your metabolism
2. The "role" of your metabolism is to control how much body fat you burn and where the nutrients and calories you eat are deposited
3. And the “flexibility” of your metabolism determines whether the calories and nutrients you eat will become lean muscle or body fat.
The thing you HAVE to appreciate is the enormous difference between losing fat with an Inflexible Metabolism vs. a Flexible Metabolism.
When you have an Inflexible Metabolism, your fat-burning engine is running so slow that you have to restrict and restrict and restrict just to lose a few pounds.
But when you have a Flexible Metabolism, your metabolism stays revved up around the clock, so you can get leaner with less restriction, hunger, and effort.
Simply put - when you start with achieving metabolic flexibility (instead of eating less and restricting more), fat loss becomes easy.
From my experience (and other coaches/scientists I know), you can expect upwards of a 20x easier fat loss with a flexible metabolism.
And it starts with feeding your metabolism more of the right foods to rev it up so you naturally burn more fat...
NOT eating as little as possible to get in a calorie deficit.
This way, you can eat more of your favorite foods while losing 1-3 pounds of fat a week...
AND actually sustain your fat loss because your new diet is more enjoyable than your current one.
